What is the best tool or resource you can have for studying God's word? TIME
Earlier today I was looking at various social media posts on bible journaling and what was being offered at a price (£'s). Beautiful laid out templates for you to use, the best pens and highlighters but they are no substitute for the most precious thing of all - time sitting down and doing the work yourself!
I thought I would create an outline of one book of the bible I haven't journaled in yet- Ezra. It is really a book of lists but the overall theme is one of God's faithfulness to his word. He said the people would live in Babylon for 70 years and they did. He used a pagan king to obey him and let his people return.
So I have created a little page and stuck it into my bible which shows the main points of the letter. I have recorded 2 sermons on my blogger based around the opening verses of Ezra so I wrote those into my bible.
Here is an example of journaling in my bible using the left and right margins beside the text.
